Notice of Intention to Control Weeds on Regional Parks

The Auckland Council gives notice that herbicide control of invasive weeds is being carried out on Auckland Council Regional Parks. Control is targeted at pest plants that are causing ecological damage and impacting on agriculture production and animal welfare.

All control will be in line with the Auckland Council Weed Management Policy and the Auckland Council Regional Pest Management Strategy. Control methods include herbicide application by cut stump and foliar spraying.

Control is subject to weather conditions and will not take place at weekends or public holidays.

Signage will be placed at park and track entrances while control is occurring.
