Please note that booking hours for regional parks campgrounds, SCC campgrounds, SCC parking areas, baches and bookable sites is as follows:

Daylight saving: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday through to Sunday
Non daylight saving: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday through to Sunday

No bookings can be taken over the phone (or in person on site) outside of these times.

No cash payments are available at any time on park. We strongly recommend that you call our contact centre in advance of your arrival on park on (09) 366 2000, option 1, to make your booking.

Animals (except aid dogs) are prohibited at all times.

Remember to be a tidy Kiwi!

All our regional parks are rubbish free. Whether you call it rubbish, trash or garbage, please bag it all up and recycle it or throw it away when you return home.

Main carpark area. Summer (daylight savings) and Winter (non-daylight savings): Self contained campervans can stay for 1 night in the SCC carparking area.

Marquees: Marquees larger than 6 x 6 meters require a discretionary use permit from the Southern Sector Office
Certificate: Must have a current Self-Containment Certificate
Permitted: Up to 8 meters in length campervans, caravans, 5th-wheelers and small buses.
Prohibited: Large buses, 5th-wheelers and campervans over 8 meters in length, and all trucks and portable container dwellings.
Parking area: Main parking area only as conditions allow

Journey north on State Highway 1 to Wellsford. Turn left at the Caltex station and service centre onto Port Albert Road. Follow the signs to the park. The property lies on the Kaipara Harbour, on the Okahukura (Tapora) Peninsula.
