About Te Wharau (Malua Bay) Campground
Located on the secluded Te Wharau (Malua Bay), this campgrounds has flat, undulating grass terraces. a feature of the site are the two large polars, known as "Baileys Hammock".It has been developed as a sea kayak based campground for those paddling along Te Ara Moana - The sea going pathway.
Adjacent to the camping area is an archaeological site, please do not camp in this area. A toilet and water supply is just up the steps. A short walk south along the coast will take you to the parks track network.
Use concrete pad when using gas cookers. No fires permitted at all times.
