Information

Please note that booking hours for regional parks campgrounds, SCC campgrounds, SCC parking areas, baches and bookable sites is as follows:

Daylight saving: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday through to Sunday
Non daylight saving: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday through to Sunday

No bookings can be taken over the phone (or in person on site) outside of these times.

No cash payments are available at any time on park. We strongly recommend that you call our contact centre in advance of your arrival on park on (09) 366 2000, option 1, to make your booking.

Animals (except aid dogs) are prohibited at all times.

All our regional parks are rubbish free. Whether you call it rubbish, trash or garbage, please bag it all up and recycle it or throw it away when you return home.

During peak period a minimum two night stay applies at this bach over weekends (Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun)

About Baileys Cottage

Baileys Cottage is a small, traditional bach on one level with two bedrooms, a shower room with toilet, main living area and an open plan kitchen. All facilities are up to date and modern. There is a mown grass area surrounding the bach.

Booking restriction period: Off peak period is June-September (incl). This bach can be booked up to six months from todays month. e.g. In June you may make a booking for a date in December.
Parking: Combined permitted and visitor vehicles are limited to 4 vehicles.
Check in time: 2:00 p.m.
Check out time: 12 Noon.
Cleaning: Bach operates on a self-clean basis.
Bedrooms: Two bedrooms, one with two single beds, and one with two sets of bunks. Please note: Top bunks are not recommended for children under 9yrs.
Bathroom: Bathroom with shower and toilet
Kitchenette: With fridge/freezer, stove, toaster, jug, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery provided.
Power supply: Standard domestic power supply
Water:

Untreated tank water. The Ministry of Health recommend boiling untreated drinking water. Conserve water as there is a limited water supply.

Heating: electric column heaters provided
Rubbish: Baileys Cottage has a bin, please use the rubbish bags provided and place rubbish bags in the wheelie bin outside the bach.  
You need to supply: Bed linen, blankets, duvets, sleeping bags, additional pillows, towels, tea towels, food, personal items etc.  
Boat launching: There is a public boat ramp in the Rodney District Council car park at the end of Ridge Road. This is a good ramp with an all tide access.

Directions

As you approach the end of Ridge Road, the access driveway is on the left. It is sign posted “Bailey's Cottage”. Go through a locked wooden gate off the road on the left hand side. Once through the gate, Bailey's is 20m up the hill along gravel road on top of headland.
