Mahurangi SCC campground is located in Mahurangi regional park
Please note that booking hours for regional parks campgrounds, SCC campgrounds, SCC parking areas, baches and bookable sites is as follows:
No bookings can be taken over the phone (or in person on site) outside of these times.
No cash payments are available at any time on park. We strongly recommend that you call our contact centre in advance of your arrival on park on (09) 366 2000, option 1, to make your booking.
Animals (except aid dogs) are prohibited at all times.
All our regional parks are rubbish free. Whether you call it rubbish, trash or garbage, please bag it all up and recycle it or throw it away when you return home.
Note: This SCC Campground is closed from 25 May to 31 October because of wet ground conditions.
This SCC campground has marked designated sites. Campers must camp in a marked designated site. Actual sites can not be booked and campers are able to camp in any available unoccupied site.
Campers are allowed one camper/unit per designated site. Additional vehicles, boats etc. are only allowed if they are able to fit on the site you occupy. All other vehicles or equipment that will not fit on site must be parked in the day use car park. All visitors must park in the day use car park.
SCC campers are still able the book and use as normal, Sullivan’s Bay Campground, pending available space.
Vehicle/Unit must be under 8 metres in length and have current NZC5465: Self-Containment certificate that is issued by an authorised person from Ministry for the Environment.
Flat grass area, which is available for bookings during November to May (depending on ground conditions).
There are trees surrounding the SCC campground, providing shade.

Drive down to the northern end of Sullivans Bay car park to the locked SCC campground gate on the left. The SCC campground is not accessible after main gate closing time.
