Information

Please note that booking hours for regional parks campgrounds, SCC campgrounds, SCC parking areas, baches and bookable sites is as follows:

Daylight saving:	8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.	Monday through to Sunday
Non daylight saving:	8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.	Monday through to Sunday

No bookings can be taken over the phone (or in person on site) outside of these times.

No cash payments are available at any time on park. We strongly recommend that you call our contact centre in advance of your arrival on park on (09) 366 2000, option 1, to make your booking.

Animals (except aid dogs) are prohibited at all times.

If you under the age of 18 you will be required to get parental consent to make a campground booking.

All our regional parks are rubbish free. Whether you call it rubbish, trash or garbage, please bag it all up and recycle it or throw it away when you return home.

About Sullivan's Bay Campground

This is the only vehicle based campground in Mahurangi. It is very popular, so early booking is advised! It is a great location for swimming, picnics, water sports, walking and exploring.

Toilets:

A vault toilet block with 2 unisex cubicles in the far corner of the campground.

Potable water:

Potable water (bore supply) from taps along the campground beachfront

Booking restriction period:

This site can be booked up to six months from todays month. e.g. In June you may make a booking for a date in December.

Access:	The campground and the park are not accessible after park closing times. The combination codes will not open the main park entrance gate
Camping Modes:	Tents, campermatics and all purpose-built vehicles, campervans, caravans, 5th wheelers and buses under 8 meters in length.
Layout:	All camping is prohibited on the sea-ward (east) side of the line. Camping is allowed anywhere on the inland (west) side of the line. The line runs across the campground from the western side of the molok bins to the eastern side of the toilet block and is signed accordingly.
Showers:	No showers. Campers need to bring their own solar shower, shower tent and solar shower support. Showers must not be hung from trees.
Rubbish:	There are labelled Molok recycle and general rubbish containers just outside the entrance to the main camping area. Only put recyclable items into the recycling container as sign-posted. Dispose of all biodegradable food waste as sign-posted in the worm container and please put any fish into the fish bin.
Open fires:	Are prohibited at all times.

Directions

Approximately 2 minutes drive to the southern end of Sullivans Bay car park to the locked campground gate. The campground is not accessible after main gate closing time.
