Directions

The house is only accessible by water (boat, kayaking etc). Boat to the southern end of Lagoon Bay, Note: The bay is inside the harbour entrance on the western side of the Mahurangi East peninsula. Lagoon Bay is a shallow tidal bay, which dries extensively. Close shore access by boat at high tide only. The bach is a 100m walk up from the beach, via a steep track with approx. 75 steps.

Dolly or kayak wheels are worth considering. All tide access is available from Big Bay. Note: Refer to Big Bay Bach directions and access for details on Big Bay beach. Then 15min walk over the ridge back to Lagoon Bay. Kayaks or dinghies can be hand-launched from Sullivans Bay approx. 2.2km, or there is a boat ramp with boat trailer launching facilities at Wenderholm Regional Park (for details link to Wenderholm/facilities/boat ramp).

Also Scott Landing, Martins Bay, and Opahi Bay have boat trailer launching facilities. Check with the Council for restrictions on these boat ramps, e.g. access, parking, tides that may affect the use of the boat ramp.
