Information

Please note that booking hours for regional parks campgrounds, SCC campgrounds, SCC parking areas, baches and bookable sites is as follows:

Daylight saving:	8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.	Monday through to Sunday
Non daylight saving:	8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.	Monday through to Sunday

No bookings can be taken over the phone (or in person on site) outside of these times.

No cash payments are available at any time on park. We strongly recommend that you call our contact centre in advance of your arrival on park on (09) 366 2000, option 1, to make your booking.

Animals (except aid dogs) are prohibited at all times.

If you under the age of 18 you will be required to get parental consent to make a campground booking.

All our regional parks are rubbish free. Whether you call it rubbish, trash or garbage, please bag it all up and recycle it or throw it away when you return home.

Important notice

All camping equipment must be removed from the park on the day of departure.

About Te Haruhi Bay Campground

Is an all modes campground behind the sand dunes at the very eastern end of Te Haruhi Bay. The campground is located in the Shakespear Open Sanctuary. To help keep the open sanctuary free of pests please check your vehicle and belongings for stowaway pests before you visit.

Booking restriction period:

This site can be booked up to six months from todays month. e.g. In June you may make a booking for a date in December.

Access:	The camp ground and the park are not accessible after park closing times. The combination codes will not open the main park entrance gate
Permitted:	Tents. Purpose built vans, campermatics, caravans, 5th Wheelers, campervans and buses of all lengths. No Self-Containment certificate required
Prohibited:	All trucks and portable container dwellings
Layout:	Large camp ground surrounded and divided by amenity plantings
Surface:	Flat
Showers:	Two cold outside showers at the front of the toilet block. Campers can bring their own solar shower, shower tent and solar shower support. Showers must not be hung from trees.
Rubbish:	There are labelled molok recycle and general rubbish containers at the campground. Only put recycle items into the recycling container as sign posted. Dispose all biodegradable food waste as sign posted in the worm container.
Fires:	Are prohibited at all times
Please Note:	Maximum of 7 consecutive nights allowed at this campground. All camping equipment must be removed from the park on the departure day. These conditions apply to any group or individual irrespective of booking name.

Directions

From the park entrance follow the signs to Te Haruhi Bay, and then to the campground. There is a locked access gate with combination required. The campground is approximately 250 meters along the access road.
