Information

Please note that booking hours for regional parks campgrounds, SCC campgrounds, SCC parking areas, baches and bookable sites is as follows:

Daylight saving: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday through to Sunday
Non daylight saving: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday through to Sunday

No bookings can be taken over the phone (or in person on site) outside of these times.

No cash payments are available at any time on park. We strongly recommend that you call our contact centre in advance of your arrival on park on (09) 366 2000, option 1, to make your booking.

Animals (except aid dogs) are prohibited at all times.

Remember to be a tidy Kiwi this summer

All our regional parks are rubbish free. Whether you call it rubbish, trash or garbage, please bag it all up and recycle it or throw it away when you return home.

About Tapapakanga SCC parking area

Summer (daylight savings) and Winter (non-daylights savings): Self contained campervans can stay for a maximum of 1 night in the SCC parking area, if the Tapapakanga Stream and Kaparanui Stream SCC campgrounds are open.

Winter (non-daylight savings) Special: Maximum of 3 nights stay at the SCC parking area, if the Tapapakanga Stream and Kaparanui Stream SCC campgrounds are closed. The Tapapakanga Stream SCC, Kaparanui Stream SCC and Seaview vehicle based campgrounds offer up to seven nights stay for SCC campervans.

Can park in main parking area only as conditions allow.

Directions

Drive south on State Highway 1; take the Manurewa off ramp and head for Clevedon. From Clevedon follow the signs to Kawakawa Bay and on towards Orere Point. Just past Orere Point, turn off the East Coast Road down Deery Road to the park.
