Walking track

This multi-use walking and mountain biking loop track takes you to the end of the peninsular for stunning views of Kawau Island as well as Little and Great Barrier Islands to the north. You can start from the lagoon car park and head up the south coast or from Anchor Bay car park and head up the north coast. You can return via either coast. The North Coast Track has mountain bike / mountain buggy ramps installed at every gate. Mountain bike / mountain buggy ramps are due to be completed around the South Coast Track by the end of June 2015. If you have the time, take a detour out to the Tokatu Point Lookout and Loop Tracks. Click on Tokatu Point Lookout and Loop Tracks for details. Follow the white marker post.

Walking tracks may:
  • Have steps on excessively steep areas.
  • Have timber boardwalks and bridges over permanent wet areas and waterways.
