Information

Please note that booking hours for regional parks campgrounds, SCC campgrounds, SCC parking areas, baches and bookable sites is as follows:

Daylight saving: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday through to Sunday
Non daylight saving: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday through to Sunday

No bookings can be taken over the phone (or in person on site) outside of these times.

No cash payments are available at any time on park. We strongly recommend that you call our contact centre in advance of your arrival on park on (09) 366 2000, option 1, to make your booking.

Animals (except aid dogs) are prohibited at all times.

All our regional parks are rubbish free. Whether you call it rubbish, trash or garbage, please bag it all up and recycle it or throw it away when you return home.

About Schischka House

Schischka House is a large farm homestead on the waters edge, with a good size kitchen and dining area, large living room and five large bedrooms. The bach has wheelchair access via a wooden ramp. All facilities are up to date and modern. There is a mown grass area surrounding the bach.

Booking restriction period: Off peak period is June-September (incl). This bach can be booked up to six months from todays month. e.g. In June you may make a booking for a date in December.
Limited mobility parking: A concrete car park in front of the wheel chair access ramp for 2 vehicles. Combined permitted and visitor vehicles are limited to eight vehicles.
Mobility access (partial): This bach has partial purpose build limited mobility access and facilities. Wheelchair friendly access via the wooden ramp and tiled wet room bathroom with shared shower, basin and toilet. The maximum door widths are as follows. Main entrance door, tiled wet room bathroom, kitchen, lounge and 2nd bed room with queen bed: 760 mm. The 1st bed room with queen bed and the other 3 bed rooms with single beds: 740mm. Has standard kitchen facilities.

Cleaning: Bach operates on a self-clean basis.
Bedrooms: Five bedrooms, two with queen beds and three with two single beds in each.
Bathroom: There are two bathrooms.  One is a wheelchair accessible, tiled wet room bathroom with shared shower, basin and toilet. The other bathroom has a shower and hand basin.  There is also a separate toilet and hand basin.
Kitchen: Fridge/freezer, stove, toaster, jug, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery provided.
Power supply: Standard domestic power supply.
Water:

Town water supply, potable.

Heating:

Heaters provided. Heat pump with ventilation into each room. The control panel is in the passage on the wall above the ventilation panels.

Rubbish: There is a bin inside the bach, please use the ARC rubbish bags provided and place tied rubbish bags in the wheelie bin outside the bach.
You need to supply: Bed linen, blankets, duvets, sleeping bags, additional pillows, towels, tea towels, food, personal items etc.

Go through the main park automatic entrance gate, travel approx 100 meters, turning left at the Schischka House/ camp ground automatic gate and follow the signs to Schischka House. (You will need to key in the access code)
